We spent a wonderful day coloring eggs in Gilmer. This was the first time Ava really understood everything that was going on. She had so much fun dying the eggs and was amazed the first time that white egg came out blue. She couldn't believe it. It was so great seeing all her expressions from seeing her Easter basket, to finding her first egg.
Every year Kath & Wes hide the golden egg. The golden egg is filled with money and is hidden separate from the dyed eggs. This year there were four. Brent was the first to find an egg, and shortly following him was Ava. She found it all by herself. It was partially buried in the dirt and Brian dismissed it as an egg. True to form Ava didn't listen and proceeded to dig the egg up, and shouted, I found one! I followed her lead and found the 3rd egg. Sheri found the last egg only to find a note instead of money, the note read, You've been punked! Ha! Kathleen hid a fake idol! We had a lot of fun, thank Kath & Wes for making Easter so enjoyable year after year.

hate we didn't get to see you while you were here this weekend...kathleen told us that lola was not in good spirits this weekend...come back soon so i can make the chocolate chip cheesecake just for you!
I was really bummed to hear that you guys had moved. I texted you when I found out. Hopefully we'll get to see you before we leave to go to our new job (wherever that is).
