First day as a 1st grader

Following Bishop tradition we laid out her first day of school clothes for Ava. She is super excited school starts tomorrow. This year we are excited she has Mrs. Peeler has her teacher and there are a lot of familiar faces in her class as well.

This past weekend Kathleen gave us Brian's old outfit. I was surprised that I teared up a little when she gave it to me. It's very special to have. The next day was Sunday and Otto rocked that outfit.

After the party we headed to the river. The kids enjoyed the 'slides' the river made and exploring.

They got dressed up in their rain boots and rain jackets and grabbed their umbrellas. Despite their efforts to be water proof they couldn't resist getting wet!

Ava and Noah's birthday celebration

This year we decided not to have a big birthday party for Ava. We did however decide to go to Wimberly and celebrate her turning 6 with her cousin Noah. Noah is only 3 weeks younger then her. She was very excited to do this. Kathleen and Wes were the only ones able to make the trip. Unfortunately Brent and Jill had to work that weekend.

Jennifer booked a great house for us to stay in. Which is where we had the party.

Ava was so sweet and opened every card and read them before she tore into the present.
